Oakland Community Gets Connected Really Connected

Pulte Homes 428 Alice Street community gets multi-gigabit connectivity from PAXIO Inc.

New homeowners at Pulte Homes’ 428 Alice community in Oakland are now members of a very select group. Each new condominium has the capacity to receive Internet access at speeds of up to one gigabit per second thanks to connectivity from PAXIO Inc.

With PAXIO’s multi-gigabit fiber optic connection, residents at this luxury mid-rise condo community have super-fast Internet access and telephone service. “428 Alice offers the communications infrastructure for today and anything the future will require,” says Rodger Miller, Director of Land for Pulte Homes’ Bay Area Division.
“The demand for more advanced broadband networks increases by the day,” said Miller. “And the activation of PAXIO’s multi-gigabit network to this community is another example of Pulte’s commitment to deliver exceptional long term value to our homeowners.”

New 428 Alice homeowners, like Bill Dailey, echo Mr. Miller sentiments: “We used to have DSL when we lived in San Francisco, and PAXIO’s service is a huge improvement,” says Daily. “The connection has been working great. We’re using PAXIO’s performance service – 30mbps sending and receiving – and I have been setting up my own server.”

Located just blocks from Jack London Square, the ultra-modern 428 Alice offers one to three bedroom condominiums priced from the low $400,000s. New homeowners can choose from “basic” services, such as PAXIO’s residential T1 for as little as $26.50 per month, and up to gigabit speeds for a little more. All Internet services are symmetric, low latency, and totally scalable.

Visitors can test drive PAXIO-connected computers at the 428 Alice sales office, which features a full-size one-bedroom model home. Located at 283 4th Street, the sales office is open daily from 10-5, except Wednesdays 1-5.

To visit 428 Alice from the Bay Bridge, take I-580 east to Downtown Oakland I-980 south. From I-980, exit Jackson Street, turn right on Jackson, then right on 4th Street. Phone (510) 903-0150, or visit www.pulte.com.

PAXIO was selected by Pulte Homes to deliver a complete fiber-to-the-home solution to select San Francisco Bay Area communities, including Pulte’s Altura townhomes in San Jose, Danbury Place townhomes in Sunnyvale, and Rose Garden master-planned community in Brentwood.
